COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the economy leaving many people jobless. Like many others, my husband and I are also greatly affected. My long-term client who often gives me lots of writing projects rarely gives writing projects these days. That’s why I decided to look for other clients. While looking for other clients, I enrolled in free courses to enhance my skills. There are many free resources out there that offer certificates.
Here are some of them that I tried:
1. TESDA
TESDA offers free courses that may interest you. Go to their website and click log in. If you don’t have a TESDA account, click “create new account”. Follow the instructions written. Otherwise, login to your account. Take a look at these free courses.
2. Alison
Though certificates are not free, they offer free and paid courses from IT to Language, Business, Health Care, etc. You can find courses for specific jobs or search for courses by categories/types. Go to their website and sign up if you haven’t yet. Here are some of the course categories.
3. Edx
Like Alison, they offer free courses but you have to pay to get your certificate. You should upgrade as well if you want unlimited access to the course. It usually takes one month to access the course for free. Here are some popular subjects.
4. Canvas
Canvas Network is where interested people can take or offer courses. If you want to enroll, browse their course catalog and enroll in your preferred course. Certificates may or may not be available depending on those who are offering the courses. I tried searching by typing “teaching” and 32 listings appeared. Here are some of them.
5. Future Learn
Future Learn offers free and paid courses. There are 621 courses to date. You can browse all subjects or search for online courses. Go to their website and click register if not yet registered. Otherwise, sign in to your account. They offer the following subjects.
